An academic and applied psychological research expert, Dr. Wallace
conceived and wrote the patent application for Urbana's Distractor
Analysis Technology®. He is currently focused on applying this
technology to the SAT and California High School Exit Examination,
with additional applications under development.
Additionally, he owns Soc-Sci Consulting, which specializes
in facilitating academic and applied psychological research
for graduate students, university professors, and mental health
practitioners.
Dr. Wallace, who has over 20 years of college-level teaching
experience, was formerly the director of Program Research and
Evaluation and acting director of the Human Sexuality program
at the University of California, San Francisco. He has been
a research mentor for over 200 Ph.D. students in the social
and behavioral sciences. He was also a senior medical industry
analyst, specializing in self-care products for Creative Strategies
International, a market intelligence research company.
Dr. Wallace holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Social Psychology from
Wayne State University, an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from
the California Institute of Integral Studies, San Francisco,
and a B.A. in Psychology from Eastern Michigan University.
